The UCD Quinn School of Business (Scoil Ghnó Uí Chuinn, COBÁC), commonly The Quinn School, or simply Quinn, is the building in which the UCD School of Business's undergraduate programme is based.
A short while after the building was named UCD reorganised its academic structure, moving from a system of faculties and departments to colleges and schools. This has caused some confusion over the standing of the Quinn "School" [sic]. The UCD College of Business and Law has two constituent schools; the School of Business and the School of Law. The School of Business is an administrative unit, The Quinn School and Michael Smurfit School are physical buildings.
The UCD School of Business is ranked as Ireland’s No. 1 business school and has a Top 20 international ranking.
The UCD School of Business is the only business school in Ireland, and one of a small elite worldwide, to hold accreditation from the American College of Business, AACSB(International), as well as the top European accreditations, EQUIS and AMBA.

The school is located in a modern three-story building on the main UCD campus at Belfield, Dublin, and is named after Lochlann Quinn, the chairman of Allied Irish Bank, who was one of the main financial contributors to the school. Mr.Quinn graduated from UCD with a BComm in 1962. Other donors included Philip Berber of CyberCorp, Bank of Ireland, AIB, Irish Life & Permanent, Accenture, KPMG, PwC, Dunnes Stores and Ernst & Young.[1]
When The School opened in 2002, it claimed to be the only business school in Europe with a specific focus on technology and e-learning. All students are required to own specially-configured wireless laptops, with teaching structured around the use of wireless network.[1]

UCD Quinn School of Business enables the Faculty to deliver business education in a challenging and unrivalled way. The UCD Quinn School building is designed with a special focus on e-technology and e-learning, ensuring that all students are exposed to technologies used in the modern business world. UCD Quinn School students also enjoy the benefits of small class teaching, which further enhances the communication between lecturer and student. Online lectures, a personalised student intranet, virtual experiential learning and complete Internet access are all an integral part of the learning process at UCD Quinn School. Laptop ownership is a requirement for students who use this technology daily in classes. Coursework and class notes revolve around the laptop. The entire class benefit from in class access to online international databases and interactive online discussion groups and quizzes. Numerous connection points and wireless technology allows students the flexibility to study at any time anywhere. These additional I.T. skills in addition to their business skills further enhance their marketability. The introduction of 'virtual Lexperiential learning' (e.g. On-line simulations of real business situations) enables students to apply their knowledge and decision making skills and observe the consequences of their decisions. Students on most programmes also have the option to study abroad as part of their programme.
